He always was passionate towards cars and never was scared to dream big. The moment Pankush Miglani, the man behind HiWay Cabs saw that there was a major gap in the industry, he turned it into an opportunity and left no stone unturned to make it a reality. In conversation with Urban Melange, he talks about his thought process and vision behind the brand and how he has taken the right steps at the right time.

Q. When did you start with HiWay Cabs and what was your vision behind it?

I envisioned HiWay Cabs on a trip from Chandigarh to Delhi in early 2016 when I saw the commuting problem people (including myself) were facing. That’s when I realized that there is a vast scope of improvement in long- distance commuting. With this aim, I started HiWay cabs in May, 2017.     

Q. What has been the biggest challenge for you till now?

Just like all other businesses, we saw our worst days during the covid-19 period which still seems like a horror in the shadows. Surviving the two years of lockdown was the biggest hurdle I have faced as our work is directly dependent on travel which completely came to a halt. But like it’s said, all’s well that ends well. We are now on a path of bringing everything back on track now. 

Q. Tell us something about your journey as an entrepreneur. 

My journey has been very exhilarating till now and I am excited to see what the future presents. I feel that every day is a brand new challenge and acing each day requires a different set of skills! So up-skilling is an indispensable part of my journey and I live by it.
