In a conversation with Nikita Agarwal, he talks about how hygienic safety and offering a relaxing experience to their guests is their supreme priority.
The Fern Surya Resort is located on the Kalka-Shimla Highway and is a 60-minute drive from Chandigarh. It hosts 49 beds classified into 5 different categories, a banquet hall for 150 guests with a multi-cuisine restaurant and a bar. “Our spacious lawns overlooking the valley is one of the USPs the resort boasts especially in reference to weddings,” says Gurasees Singh, Director, Bonzo Resorts Ltd., The Fern Surya Resort.
With lockdowns over and cases decreasing, everyone is looking forward to traveling to their favorite destinations with friends and family. Talking about the safety of the guests, Gurasees says, “With travel opening up and revenge tourism at its peak, we made sure that the staff was 100% vaccinated and while we followed the covid guidelines, we also have sanitizer stations spread across the property for guests.”
Amongst many other industries, the pandemic hit hospitality the most. It was challenging for many to sustain and make sure that they wait for this difficult time to pass and be ready to serve their guests again, “our main concern was to maintain covid appropriate behavior throughout the stay of a guest to ensure safety. While it was hard for the hospitality sector during the lockdown since Himachal was the last to open up for tourists, we’ve seen an uptrend in sales since we’ve opened and look to cater to them,” says Singh about the challenges they have faced, and he looks forward to the good times ahead.
