When did you decide to become a gynecologist and how has your journey been till now?

Ever since my childhood, I had a strong yearning to help people and contribute to society. Once during a trip to the market, I encountered a pregnant woman writhing in labour pain on the pavement. While I struggled to understand the gravity of the situation, I watched a new life enter into the world right before my eyes. The incident stirred my conscience and paved the way for my future path as a gynecologist. I feel God has chosen me for this noble profession. Treating women and helping them has not only been a transforming journey, but a rewarding experience too.

You were the first in the region to use Da Vinci Surgical System. How did that add to your experience?

With great power comes great responsibility. It’s a privilege to be at the forefront, providing the latest technology in healthcare to our patients. Looking back, I feel proud to be the first one in North India to treat women through Robotic Surgery, which till some time back, was only available in metro cities. I am the first gynecologist to have conducted more than 150 robotic surgeries in the North. I have persevered and survived in the face of tremendous odds.
