Having been one of the pioneer designers of Chandigarh, Grewal’s run since the last three decades has been nothing less than amazing. Her colourful journey started at a young age of 20 and as a woman entrepreneur, she not only managed to emerge as a great designer but also firmly established her label on the land of success! Enjoying an elite NRI client base, she has become the go-to person for every wedding need. Starting from a small room to working out of a 2-floored studio and building one in New Delhi, Babi has become Tricity’s household brand name that is synonymous to opulence and luxury!
What motivated you to lay the foundation stone of your label?
Designing was never a part of my life plan and therefore, I never studied a course or sought training. But, circumstances led me down this path. My family owned a store that dealt in fabrics and that’s where I learnt everything about clothing. Somewhere down the road, it sparked my imagination, and I started designing as a hobby. It took off well and quickly and that is how my label was born.
