Q. Why dermatology? What do you find most fascinating about your job?
Dermatology is a very visual specialty as our skin itself is an extension of everything else & it goes much deeper than what we see outside. It reflects what’s happening inside of us. My job, as a dermatologist, is to assure my patient of his/her ability to work with the doctor to achieve the best possible results. It is to ensure an immediate impact on my patient’s life by restoring their confidence & capabilities.
Along with being a doctor, you are also an entrepreneur, what does being an entrepreneur mean to you?
Personally, being an entrepreneur means to chart the way forward, a future that identifies with my professional competence. It’s not the willingness to risk but the confidence in my capabilities and skills which aligns with the future.
How would you define skincare in your own terms?
Skin is an incredibly complex organ which has an enormous impact on our sense of self & it seriously hinders our ability to be productive or achieve our goals as our appearance directly influences our self-confidence. I love my professional skill and the opportunity to see the transformation & happiness on my patient’s face.
