From being a Managing Director for Dasmesh Convent School, Sardulgarh and Dasmesh International School, Sardulgarh to being the Joint Secretary of Student Council PGGC – 11, Chandigarh (2019-20) Dilmohit Singh Sandhu also owns Sandhu Godowns.
It is not a cakewalk to perform so many roles in so many spheres. Talking about his journey till now Sandhu says, “after my schooling, I had two options either to go abroad or stay here in India. I chose the latter and pursued my graduation in Chandigarh. I’ve grown up watching my parents work so hard, so I knew during that time that I will have to make it easier for them by joining the family business. That was the best decision I ever made. My parents were already running a successful school for about 28 yrs. I took the step ahead and opened another school during my graduation, Dasmesh International School, Sardulgarh, Mansa. I made sure we provided the students the best technology and facilities to have the best education they deserve. The school got a great response too and we have been working hard to make it class apart. This also motivated me to work more, so I stepped into another business and started wheat procurement godowns too through FCI tender. I want to work constantly and sincerely towards my goals which will be my stepping stones for new ones.”
Even after leading so many organizations successfully from the front, he still aspires to achieve more in his professional life. Talking about what success means to him. He says, “success is gained not only from the achievement of our goals but also from the happiness and satisfaction derived from pursuing those goals. To become successful, one has to have – and keep – a plan on how they will obtain success. Keep improving and steadily increasing your work ethic. This will help you in achieving your goal.”
