A single mother who at times derives motivation from the positive insights of her son is a dedicated make-up artist and has been working hard to become one of the finest names in the industry. Harpy Virk in conversation with Nikita Agarwal talks about how she chose to be a make-up artist and how Punjab is home to her.
Born and brought up in Punjab, Harpy Virk, like many others share a beautiful bond with the state. She says that it is not about a particular city, but Punjab as a whole is home to me. Talking about her journey as a make-up artist, she says, “I belong to Patiala and have been a celebrity make-up artist in the Punjabi Industry, I have worked with celebrities like Sunanda Sharma, Shipra Goel, and more. I started four years back from Bombay, I am certified by Ojas M. Rajani, who is Aishwarya Rai’s personal make-up artist. Then I even got certified by Amrit Kaur and Meera Sakhrani.”
She was always interested in make-up, but she doesn’t know when her hobby became a profession, “it all happened by chance. Make-up always brought me joy and I loved how I can bring a smile to people’s faces with this. I am glad that I chose this as my profession,” adds Harpy.
