In an exclusive heart-to-heart chat, we talk to Sonia Mohindra, Co-Founder, Under One Roof Hotel Consultants about her trailblazing journey as a woman entrepreneur with a well-flourished business spread across 3 continents.
Tell us something about your journey in the shoes of an interior designer, so far?
My professional journey has three aspects to it. The first, as a hospitality professional and co-founder of Under One Roof that my husband and I began almost 25 years ago. I am a hospitality graduate from one of India’s leading Institutes- IHM, Delhi – and this company, founded over 2 decades ago, is a pioneer in the industry given that at that time, consultancy was not even in an infancy stage.
The second, as an F&B specialist and trainer, having acquired several certifications in this area and of course, being a certified trainer as well. Being an F&B specialist implies, among other things, that I curate, create and train the bar at all my projects – over 1100 so far, globally – and till date, its an enjoyable experience leading the bar processes.
