This is the story of Jassiee Kaur who has been playing with the magic of make-up since her childhood days. Now with her brand Make-up by Jassiee, she makes sure to make every bride look magical on her special day. In conversation with Urban Melange, she talks about her love for her profession and the passion behind it that drives her creativity.
Tell us about your brand and when did your love for makeup begin?
The journey of working as a lead artiste began with Joban Sandhu and kohleyes. I feel I have always loved makeup since childhood. As a little girl, I would sit, and watch with fascination as my mom applied some makeup on her. Then I would beg her to do that on my face too. I had a makeup kit for children, but I only used it to paint my doll’s face. It was so much fun. Back then, makeup seemed magical the way it can transform a face and enhance your best features. Now as I have grown up, I am still as much in love with it.
When it comes to weddings, what are the latest bridal trends of 2022-23?
Shimmery, prismatic pastel shades, smudged colour blast liners and sultry lashes. This year, it is all about being able to express yourself through the eyes. Simply putting, it’s about well blended, luminous looks. Be ready to get your glow this year. SOME MORE PINK PLEASE!! PINK IS NEVER ENOUGH!! That’s a philosophy we stand by. Pastel pink shadow graces the lids of the eyes so eloquently, the monochromatic pink blush and lips set the tone off right for this flattering hue, perfect for the D-day. Soft gold eyes with defined kohl and eyeliner will be big hit this season. This kind of look always compliments all bridal attires.
