Mastering MSMEs: The Rajiv Talreja Story

Rajiv Talreja, a visionary entrepreneur and author of “Lead or Bleed,” shares insights on his journey from founding Quantum Leap Learning Solutions to being an accomplished investor and speaker. His commitment to serving MSMEs and his passion for travel and living life to the fullest shine through.

What inspired you to start Quantum Leap Learning Solutions?

In September 2006, I initiated Quantum Leap and formally established it as a firm in February 2007. My journey began with an internship in a youth organization, where I was exposed to training programs aimed at helping college students overcome career challenges and relationship issues. Inspired by this experience, I joined the organization, grew the team to 5,000 interns within 18 months, and delved into training, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), and coaching. These experiences motivated the inception of Quantum Leap, initially focusing on corporate training in leadership, team building, conflict resolution, behavioral training, and sales for large corporations.

Can you share the story or moment that led to writing “Lead or Bleed”?

The idea for “Lead or Bleed” emerged in October 2014, following the closure of two unsuccessful businesses in December 2012. These ventures included a recruitment business and a BPO service company that faced financial challenges. After two years of dwelling on these setbacks, I realized I needed to learn the secrets of building a thriving business. To gain insight from successful business owners, I decided to embark on a 14-month journey of conducting 300 interviews with prominent figures in the Indian business world. The aim was to break down the science of creating scalable and profitable businesses. To incentivize these experts to share their knowledge, I conceived the idea of writing a book that would be valuable not only for me but also for other aspiring entrepreneurs. “Lead or Bleed” captures the essence of what it takes to build a successful business, featuring insights and best practices from accomplished leaders.
