Keeping the flame of tradition alive

A sister-duo who are stylish, fashionable and with a sense of jazz since their childhood, made their dream a reality with Brocade Studio. Dressing up brides in the most prettiest outfits, Nancy along with her dedicated team is looking forward to the wedding season this year with their pastel shade palette. In conversation with Urban Melange, she talks about the upcoming trends and the shifting aesthetics of bridal wear.

Tell us about your brand and when did your love for fashion begin?

Brocade Studio, Mohali is the brainchild of two young & dynamic sisters who believe in designing outfits purely out of love & passion. The brand was setup to keep alive the flame of traditional wear of Punjab. Our outfits reflect the rich culture via variety of fabrics, embroideries and cuts. The outfits are a class apart owing to the perfect blend of ethnicity and contemporary styles. Since its inception in 2014, the sole motto of the brand is to create designs for the woman of substance who loves to dress in a way that makes her feel totally connected to roots, that too in style.

When it comes to weddings, what are the latest fashion trends of 2022-23?

We are hoping to see an array of shades in 2022-23 ranging from pastels like pink and blush along with sage greens as well as brilliant yellows and shades of mandarin. Shades of grey and champagne will be very promising colours next season.

Bling and stylish mirror work outfits will ring in next season too for their grace and glamour. These will be most sought after outfits especially by bridesmaids. The outfits are going to be richly hand embroidered. The brides next season are going to stun everyone with their opulence. Another thing that will be in vogue will be the stylish cuts for necklines. Trendy shoulders and sleeves will also usher in this wedding season.
