Blending the essence of tradition with contemporary hues, Shades by Vidhi is a brand straight from the heart of a painter. Vidhi Bansal, the name behind the brand puts her heart and soul in each and every design. As each piece is hand painted, therefore every one piece is different from the other, which is what makes every piece exclusive. In conversation with Urban Melange, she talks about her journey and how she imagines every woman would feel while wearing her designs.
From paintings to hand painted apparels, tell us about your journey as an artist?
Painting has always been a constant companion for me. Earlier I used to paint for friends and family and then gradually expanded my horizon by participating in exhibitions and exploring the potential of E-commerce. Now with persistent backing from my daughter, we have thousands of happy clients who have always motivated us to do better.
What was your vision when you began with your brand, Shades by Vidhi?
I wanted to create fashionable and high-quality apparels that celebrate women of all shapes and sizes.
Describe how do you imagine a woman should feel while wearing your designs?
I imagine a woman feeling confident, unique and stylish in our handcrafted designs.
Has there been a woman in your life who has inspired you the most?
I am inspired by my mentor Ms. Vandana Malhotra, my daughter Ridima and my sister-in-law Pridhi.
