Tell us about your brands and what inspired you to start Trellis Garden and Hey Grain Bakery?
Trellis Garden was born from our love for hospitality and celebrations. My husband and I believed life’s precious moments deserve beautiful settings, thoughtful planning, and heartfelt service. It became a venue where emotions meet elegance, blending nature, aesthetics, and warmth for weddings and curated experiences. Hey Grain Bakery began earlier, in 2012, from my kitchen and my concern for healthier eating habits for my children. It grew into a millet-based, preservative-free cookie brand serving conscious consumers across India. Both brands started from passion — one for hospitality and one for health — and reflect our values of quality, authenticity, and innovation.
How does creativity influence both your ventures?
Creativity is the backbone of both brands. At Trellis Garden, it appears in event styling, décor concepts, theme planning, food presentation, and spatial design, giving every celebration a distinct identity. At Hey Grain Bakery, creativity lies in recipe development, ingredient innovation, packaging, and storytelling. Turning traditional grains into modern cookies required experimentation and imagination. For me, creativity is not just design — it’s problem-solving, innovation, and adding a unique touch to everything.
What sets your brands apart in their respective industries?
Trellis Garden stands apart because we create experiences, not just provide a venue. Personalized service, attention to detail, and understanding clients’ preferences and emotions make every event special. Hey Grain Bakery differentiates itself through natural ingredients, zero hydrogenated fats, and preservative-free baking long before it became a trend. We believe healthy can be indulgent. Both brands are built on authenticity and purpose, not trends.
What has been your most rewarding moment as an entrepreneur?
The most rewarding moments are small affirmations — when a bride says her wedding felt magical or a parent shares their child loves our healthy cookies. Watching Hey Grain grow from a home experiment into a recognized brand and seeing Trellis Garden host countless celebrations has been fulfilling. Above all, inspiring my children by example is the greatest reward.
