How much do your Punjabi traditions and customs mean to you?
My Punjabi traditions and customs are an important part of my life. I was raised in these traditions and they define who I am. However, I have also abandoned some customs that are not in line with the teachings our Gurus. One such custom is giving our sons more importance over our daughters. As much as customs & traditions are important, we must also have the courage & commitment to move away and abandon customs that offend the teachings of our Gurus, customs that offend basic human rights and customs that cause any type of harm or injury to someone.
