One of the most-loved bakers in Amritsar, Gunveen is a force to reckon with utmost passion and zeal for baking
The instinct of doing something extraordinary was with Gunveen ever since a very young age and as time passed by, she ensured to make the most of it by following her passion for bakery. “Everyone in my family has been passionate about cooking which instilled in me the love for baking. Initially I never thought that I would pursue it professionally but it was due to the relentless support of my mom, family members and friends which motivated me to take the plunge and ever since then, there has been no turning back. With the blessing of almighty, the journey has been truly enlightening,” shared Gunveen who takes orders at her Instagram page which is papillae_by_gunveen.

What were the major challenges that you had to encounter? How did you overcome them?
Creativity and imagination is a must for creating all kinds of sweets and other desserts. So, you have to come up with something new every time to attract clients. This becomes mandatory when you take all your orders through social media.
So, while people look at beautiful cakes and glorify the jobs of chef, they often do not realise that it is not an easy task and it requires a huge amount of exhausting hours and management skills. Moreover, there are times when you almost feel like giving up, but it is certainly the bigger goal in mind that keeps me going. In this field, there no space for mistakes because you will always be judged by the last dish you offer. So, perfection and giving your 100 per cent every time is of utmost importance.
