‘My work is my identity’

Her work is unique, her work is creative and beautiful, Smiley Chaudhary, the name behind the brand The Dotzot follows her instincts and delivers innovative designs and creations. Her murals and handcrafted artworks will brighten up any space. In conversation with Urban Melange, she talks about her inspirations and her aesthetic.

Your designs are unique. How did you decide to become an artist? Tell us about your journey.

I am a born artist, motivated by my mom, Mrs Indu arora, polished by my mentors, and supported by my husband Mr. Nitin Chaudhary. Being unique is an Aquarian trait. And I am just following my instincts to be and deliver innovative designs.

Where do you get the inspiration from for your artwork?

I pick it from my surroundings, artists are emotional people, what all happens around affects me. Which, eventually, is expressed and witnessed in my art works. I put efforts to keep my aura pure and positive, to get art which can deliver happiness further.

It’s mostly done by hand and requires intricate details. How many days a piece takes on an average?

medium, intricacy of the designs, dimensions, weatherman decides time limit. One month is definitely the minimum time span to get the final output on the wall or a structure.
