In the ever-evolving landscape of Indian entrepreneurship, stories of innovation, determination, and success abound. Yet, among these tales, there are those that stand out not just for their business acumen but for the heartwarming personal journeys that underpin them. Such is the story of Gaurav Garg and Kavya Gupta, a couple whose love story is as captivating as their entrepreneurial ventures. Gaurav, the founder of Liqo, and Kavya, the mastermind behind Woodshells, have not only carved a niche for themselves in the competitive world of startups but have also fostered a relationship that exemplifies the perfect blend of professional collaboration and personal harmony.
As we sit down with this dynamic duo, their story unfolds not just as a narrative of individual success but as a beacon of how two people can support, inspire, and elevate each other in the pursuit of their dreams. Their story is not just about building successful businesses but about constructing a life together where love and entrepreneurship dance in harmony.
How did your paths cross, and how has this journey been for both of you as a couple and as entrepreneurs?
Gaurav: Our paths crossed in Chandigarh, when I was looking to collaborate with entrepreneurs in the city and that was when I discovered Kavya’s venture – Woodshells. It was not just her business acumen but also her creative instinct that really intrigued me. She even helped me with my SOP when I was considering studying abroad and I was totally in awe of her grace and intelligence.
Kavya: We initially connected on a professional level, but our shared interests and aspirations brought us closer. Our friendship blossomed over the months, and love soon followed. We tied the knot in 2019, and since then, it has been a journey of mutual growth, both personally and professionally.
You tied the knot just a few months before the pandemic. How did it affect you both, and what role did it play in your relationship and businesses?
Gaurav: The pandemic was a period of introspection and adaptation. It allowed us to spend more time together, understand each other’s strengths, and how these could be leveraged in our businesses.
Kavya: Absolutely, the pandemic, in a way, was a blessing in disguise. It strengthened our bond and gave us a chance to dive deeper into our entrepreneurial ventures.
