Born and brought up in Kolkata, he planned to settle down in the holy city of Amritsar, because of his love for the culture of Punjab. Sachin Kapoor, Owner, Satyam Jewellery House draws inspiration from his childhood days and adds creativity and innovation to his brand. In conversation with Urban Melange, he talks about his journey and Punjab, sharing some interesting anecdotes.
His introduction to the culture of Punjab and its magnificence was when he came down to Amritsar for his summer vacation to his grandparent’s house during his school days. It was like love at first sight for Sachin Kapoor, Owner, Satyam Jewellery House, and he decided to settle down in the holy land of Amritsar for life. Talking about his professional journey, he says, “I started my journey in the year 2004 when I opened my first retail jewelry shop with the brand name, Satyam Jewellery House in Gurubazar, Amritsar. It was a very small shop but despite that my enthusiasm and dedication towards work was very high, which is the reason behind my success today. At present we have a wholesale/retail outlet at New Nehru shopping complex, mall road, Amritsar and we are also planning to open up a 10,000 square feet flagship store at 41A, Mall Road in the year 2022 itself.”
Born and raised in Kolkata, this Don Bosco alumni has an unmatched love for the city Amritsar. He believes that it is a blessed city and surpasses various international cities. “I have a home in Kolkata and an office in Mumbai and Delhi and I have traveled a number of countries around the world, but nothing can take place in my heart like our Punjabi culture, and the holy city of Amritsar,” says Sachin.
