Provide us with an insider’s view into your roots in Punjab?
I have deep and widespread roots in Punjab, in what you call Punjabism and Punjabiat an integral component of my Indian identity. I am a disciple of Guru Nanak dev Ji. Our ten gurus continue to inspire my life and work. In particular, the three principles of Naam Japo – meditating upon His name, Kirat Kamai – working hard with honesty and for good causes, and Vand Chhako – sharing and caring are integral to who we are as Sikhs.
