How do you believe your institute contributes to fostering a conducive environment for women in leadership roles?
First and foremost, I believe that young people need positive role models, so the female staff and faculty strength is more than male at our institute. For women to catch up with men as workplace leaders, they need mentors. At GJIMT, I encourage Mentor-Mentee Programs. Close Alumni relationships pair someone at a higher level of leadership with mentee over programs like “A Day with the CEO’. At GJIMT, I make it a point to promote gender equity and make women feel supported by recognizing and rewarding each contribution that women make at our Institute.
Can you share any success stories of women graduates who have excelled in entrepreneurship after studying at your institute?
There are many but on the top of my mind, few that I can put here are of two women graduates who started their own business in bakery in India and one in Canada of setting up an International Educational Institute. There are many who have been in different industries and have reached the pinnacle of success over the last 2 and a half decades.
