We treat life-threatening problems of the brain like stroke, aneurysms without surgery through a tiny hole in the wrist or leg using advanced techniques. It’s one of the most advanced specialities in modern medicine. We can open blocked blood vessels in the brain or neck and even repair bleeding within the brain through these techniques.
As an interventional neuroradiologist doctor, how do you stay up to date with the latest medical research and information in your field?
This field is rapidly evolving, both due to a better understanding of the diseases also because of huge advancements in the field of technology. I read at-least one medical journal every day which keeps me updated. Also, I am invited faculty in numerous international and national meetings of neuro-intervention where I meet leaders in this field and discuss recent advancements which also helps to keep me updated. Recently in one such meeting, I was elected as honorary secretary of Indian Society of Neuroradiology (ISNR), which is perhaps the oldest society in the country involved in promoting neuroradiology and neuro interventions.
