Honorary physician to the then President of India, Giani Zail Singh, recipient of the prestigious Hahnemann International Award, and the man credited with establishing the first homoeopathic clinic within the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex, Dr. K.S. In 1947, at the age of 32, he made the remarkable decision to leave behind a successful career in the Indian Army to pursue homoeopathy — a choice driven not by convenience, but by conviction and a larger purpose. A gifted teacher, scholar, and author of the celebrated Homoeopathic Remedies in Verse, he inspired generations of students and practitioners through his deep knowledge and passion for learning.
Inspired by his father’s commitment and vision, Dr. S.P.S. Bakshi carried forward the mantle with the same sincerity and determination, eventually transforming Bakson’s into one of India’s most respected homoeopathic healthcare brands. Dr. Bakshi reflects not only on the legacy he inherited, but also on the values and vision he hopes to pass on to his daughters, Dr. Tamanna Bakshi and Dr. Taniya Bakshi, who today play an important role in shaping the organisation’s future.
“What inspired the Bakson journey,” says Dr. Bakshi, “was the need for effective, standardised homoeopathic remedies that could be produced consistently and made accessible to a larger population.”
