As a brand building specialist, Bhumika Kaushik is helping brands find their Unique Voice. In conversation with Urban Melange, she talks about her journey and Tribe and Tales – a branded content agency co-founded by her, that is helping brands survive and thrive in a not so mad men era.
Tell us something about your journey so far.
A Marketing Communications and Advertising professional, I have worked across some of the biggest agency conglomerates like Publicis and WPP, handling the Communications mandate for brands like Shaadi.com, Reliance Fresh, Tanishq, Netflix and more. My interest in creative communication developed right from my Post Graduation days at Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Pune. My strength lies in creative copywriting and storytelling, but over the years I have trained myself to look at the bigger brand picture. This has helped me drive visual, written and experiential communication for multiple industries like décor, retail, gaming, EdTech, healthcare and fashion.
Tell us more about Tribe and Tales.
Let me break it down for you. Tribe and Tales is a co-founded branded content agency that combines two things: the flexibility of working with a ‘Tribe’ of Freelancers and using Branded Content as the medium to write the ‘Tales’ of these Brave and Bona fide brands. Working with a huge pool of freelancers like content writers, graphic designers, web developers, 3D artists, animators, illustrators, film makers and digital marketers establishes a satellite studio like working arrangement for each brand associated with us: One team one brand as opposed to the traditional one-stop agency solution. And the more we helped build brand narratives over the years, the quicker we concluded that content is what helps brands become consistently credible. Hence formats like PR, Visual Branding, Content Marketing and Digital Content are where we’ve tried to establish our expertise in.
