Presenting a candid conversation with Rajdeep Sardesai on the COVID-19 crisis!

Reckoned to be a force synonymous with impeccable editorial prudence and an inquisitive mind filled with endless curiosity, Rajdeep Sardesai has carved a niche in the journalism industry.
With an experience of about three decades, Sardesai has emerged as a trailblazer who warrants admiration and adulation for ensuring a strong foundation stone of the fourth pillar of democracy. He has never been one to shy away from traversing the road less travelled and asking hard-hitting questions from the concerned, which has helped him transcend boundaries and become a household name.
Presently serving as the Consulting Editor at India Today Group, Sardesai has an array of awards and accolades to his credit including the prestigious Padma Shri for Journalism in 2008, the International Broadcasters Award for coverage of the 2002 Gujarat riots, and the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award for 2007.
In a candid conversation, we talk to him about how the virus outbreak has impacted his daily routine, how he manages to stay calm despite all the agonizing updates, the accelerating menace of fake news, and lots more!
How has your typical routine changed ever since the virus outbreak? What are some major challenges that you tend to face these days?
Things have changed in the sense that we all are now working in a very different environment altogether. We are working from home, using Zoom, all our guests are connected through Skype, and internet connection can go away anytime – which is a major challenge that we tend to face these days. There has also been a lifestyle change in the sense that whenever I go to the studio, I have to wear a mask and take all precautionary measures.
