The torchbearer of automobile manufacturing in the north region, Dada Motors has carved a niche in this industry by setting new benchmarks of performance and excellence. So, we speak to Rishi Dada, Owner to know more about the organization’s journey to success.
Tell us about your work at Dada Motors. How did it start and how was the journey in making it what it is today?
Dada Motors is a family business which was started by my father and brother about 57 years ago. Their entry into this industry is a case study to the context that my father earlier used to have a steel plant in those days and he went to a car mechanic who charged him exorbitantly. My father insisted that this is not the right price to which the mechanic affirmed, “Okay, then go and find out what is the right price in the market.” This statement came as a turning point in his life and ever since then, there has been no turning back. We started with the dealerships of Hindustan Motors, Fiat and Bajaj at that time. Presently we are holding brands like Jaguar, Land Rover, Kia, and Nissan to name a few.
Having multiple agencies ranging from Tata Motors to JLR, work always keep you on toes. How do you manage your time?
I think time management is all about delegation of work. Fortunately, ours is an organized sector because our principal companies themselves are very organized. So, time management is feasible.
