Crafting aesthetic transformations

What motivated you to specialize in plastic surgery, and how has your passion evolved over the years?

From my surgery residency days, I was fascinated with the Plastic surgery speciality as it offers a unique opportunity to impact individuals’ lives positively. Whether it’s helping patients regain confidence, restoring functionality after an injury or illness, or enhancing their appearance, plastic surgery’s transformative power can profoundly affect a person’s overall well-being.

I have always been captivated by the intricate beauty of the human form and the artistry involved in enhancing it. The ability of a plastic surgeon to use surgical and non-surgical techniques to sculpt and reshape the face and body in ways that bring harmony and balance has always appealed to me. This fascination with aesthetics and the creative aspect of plastic surgery served as a strong foundation for my passion.

As an international trainer in injectables, can you share some insights into the latest advancements and techniques in this field?

As an international trainer for anti-wrinkle injections and fillers, I am fortunate to have access to the latest advancements and techniques in this field. Neurotoxin treatments, such as Botox, have seen advances in both technique and application. There has been a shift towards more standardized dosing and injection techniques. This approach provides more predictable and longer-lasting outcomes.

Dermal fillers have evolved with the introduction of new formulations and techniques. Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers remain popular due to their bio-compatibility with the body. The latest advancements include more versatile HA fillers with varying degrees of viscosity for precise contouring and volumisation. Additionally, longer-lasting fillers like Juvederm Volux have been developed especially for chin and jawline shaping, reducing the need for frequent touch-ups. The cannula technique for filler injections has gained popularity due to its advantages over traditional needle injections. Use of cannulas minimises the complications, making the procedure safer and more comfortable for patients.
