Problems in relationship occur because each person is concentrating on what is missing in the other person. When you first met him—he seemed confident & charming, now, he just seems like a blockhead! Or, perhaps when you first met her—she seemed enigmatic, delightfully impulsive, and she kept you guessing in the most appealing way. Now, she seems like a stranger. Some complications in relationships can be tackled as a couple, some are a lot harder to solve. Below are some relationship problems that just can’t be fixed:
- You never feel good enough: You feel like nothing you ever do is correct and are constantly trying to prove your value. You become addicted to your partner’s validation. Whenever you do anything and it generates any sort of approval from him/her you feel relieved, and it gives you just enough rope to hang onto. You try even harder to get more of that feeling and feel like a failure when it doesn’t come. No matter how hard you try, you never feel like you’re enough or like you’re doing things right. You live in an endless state of nervousness, of second-guessing yourself, of trying to be better and good enough.
- Too much contact with the ex: Your partner is too attached to their past. Frequent emails, phone calls, or online messaging with a past love can take away from a current relationship.
- Your partner is needlessly argumentative and communication with them is vague: Arguments are never fun. Arguments are bad enough as is, without prolonging it by a couple of hours of awkward silences. One needs to learn to resolve and move on from arguments quickly and efficiently in order to avoid wasting time needlessly on confusions, egos or frustrations.
