Pullman New Delhi Aerocity, in collaboration with The Art Registry, has launched ‘Tour de Art,’ an initiative to uncover the rare and creative gems of the diverse world. The Art Registry is an eclectic creative space that showcases stirring and significant art created by seasoned and emerging artists. It provides a platform for the innately talented rural artists and global art lovers to connect with each other and highlight hidden gems of precious indigenous Indian Art traditions.
As part of the initiative, Pullman New Delhi Aerocity visited the birthplace of Basohli art, a traditional art form originating from the town of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir, to celebrate the local artists behind it. Basohli paintings, characterized by bright colors and geometrical patterns, are considered the first school of Pahari paintings and are an unconventional and rich piece of artwork.
