Adding a personal touch while dealing with the customers and treating them as friends and family, is why Poshak is a favourite amongst most when it comes to designer Indian wear. The store that has been running for three generations loves seeing the mothers who once visited for their special day coming in to find the perfect dress for their daughters’ and sons’ special day. Navdeep Gulati, designer, Poshak talks to Nikita Agarwal about the fashion industry and Tricity.
Tell us about yourself.
Born and brought up in Chandigarh my roots are very deeply connected to the city beautiful. I finished graduation and joined my family business and have since been working with my brother towards building a strong and honest brand in Indian bridal wear.
Tell us about Poshak, what was the vision when it was started?
We started way back in 1985, it is a family store being run by three generations. We are in the trade for more than 40 years and have been the pioneers in designer Indian wear in not only Chandigarh but North India. We are located in the heart of Chandigarh, and we make sure that our collection has a touch of modernity, keeping the traditional look intact.
