In a world where balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship often feels like walking a tightrope, Nancy, the heart behind MIMAS, has found a way to blend the two with grace. Her restaurant isn’t just about food—it’s about family, memories, and magic.
What inspired you to start MIMAS while raising a family?
Cooking has always been my passion. When I started my journey in Mohali, I would often host friends and family for lunch or dinner—and the love and appreciation I received for my food truly encouraged me. As a mother, I’ve always believed that the most special memories are made around the dining table.
But every time we went out, I noticed something was missing. There weren’t many places where the entire family—kids, parents, and grandparents—could come together and enjoy a luxurious yet warm and welcoming dining experience. I wanted to create a space that felt positive, elegant, and safe, where every meal was crafted with love and attention to detail.
That’s how MIMAS was born—to fill that gap and offer families a refined dining experience that brings everyone together.
How did you come up with the name MIMAS?
MIMAS is actually the name of one of Saturn’s moons. My husband and I were drawn to it not just because of its celestial connection, but because it represents the vastness of experience and imagination we wanted to bring into our space. MIMAS feels universal, just like food—it brings people together no matter where they’re from.
