What inspired you to venture into the world of design education?
I have always been passionate about creativity and the power of design to impact lives. After working in the fashion industry and gaining experience, I realized there was a gap in quality design education, particularly in nurturing young minds. I wanted to help shape the future of design by offering students not just technical skills but a holistic understanding of the field, empowering them to create and innovate.
What challenges did you face as a woman in the education and fashion industries?
Being a woman in both education and fashion posed unique challenges, especially in breaking traditional barriers and proving credibility in a field often dominated by men. Overcoming stereotypes and demonstrating that leadership in education or fashion isn’t about gender but about passion, skill, and vision was crucial. It has been a journey of continuous learning and pushing boundaries to establish myself as a respected professional.
