With his expertise in Peripheral Vascular Surgery, open and endovascular surgeries, and endovascular management of aortic aneurysms he came back to his motherland to serve his country and help its people lead a better life. Dr. Ravul Jindal, Director Fortis Hospital, Mohali (Cardiac Sciences, Vascular Surgery) has a special interest in the laser treatment of varicose veins where patients are treated as a day case without surgical incisions. In a conversation with Urban Melange, he talks with pride about his progress towards the goal of getting Amputation free Punjab.
- Tell us about your brand and your connection with Punjab?
Our brand name is Callidora laser clinic of India which is located at Fortis Hospital Mohali and covers all the major cities of Punjab like Ludhiana, Patiala, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Amritsar. If you talk about the connection with Punjab then my birthplace is Punjab and Punjab is very close to my heart which is the reason why I came back from abroad, to serve the people of Punjab.
- What is that one thing about Punjab that you would miss if you shifted to another state/ country?
Obviously, I am going to miss one thing for sure that is the soft-hearted and fun-loving populace of Punjab.
- What role has the government of Punjab played in medical Industry? Have they been helpful or challenging?
The government of Punjab took a brilliant initiative in the medical industry. Yes, it is helpful in many aspects. The best example is the handling of the Covid19 pandemic situation.
