What inspired you to enter politics at such a young age?
My decision to enter politics at a young age is deeply rooted in the legacy of my late grandfather Advocate RP Bedi, whose dedication to service and commitment to effecting positive change in the field of law have long served as guiding principles in my life. He wanted me to either join the law firm or civil services. Additionally, my innate desire to contribute to the betterment of society has drawn me to the realm of politics. As a law and policy graduate, I’ve been inspired by the prospect of shaping a more equitable and prosperous future for all. Moreover, under the mentorship of Maharaja Captain Amarinder Singh Ji, I’ve gained valuable insights into addressing societal needs comprehensively. His unwavering resolve has further fueled my determination to make a meaningful impact in the political arena.
How do you envision your role in shaping the future of Punjab?
My vision is to empower Punjab’s youth through enhanced access to quality education, skill development, and entrepreneurship opportunities. This entails modernizing educational institutions, promoting top-tier universities, vocational training, and startup support. By fostering an environment where youth can thrive and contribute meaningfully, we aim to drive the state’s development and prosperity.
