For brides seeking the perfect look on their special day, finding the right makeup artist is essential. A skilled artist not only enhances natural beauty but also brings a unique touch to each bride’s vision. In conversation with Naina Goel, we delve into the artistry and passion behind her transformative makeup journey.
Q. What inspired you to become a makeup artist?
My passion for makeup started early, as I often did my own makeup for dance competitions. With my mom busy, I quickly became the go-to person for friends needing help with eyeliner or lipstick. Later, while managing a restaurant, my sister encouraged me to pursue makeup professionally. I gave it a try for six months, and it just felt right. The joy I see in my brides’ faces is what keeps me passionate and driven in this field.
Q. How should a bride prepare her skin before her wedding day?
Skincare is crucial leading up to the wedding day. Brides should start prepping their skin months in advance with a good skincare routine. Hydration is key, so drink plenty of water, and ensure you’re using a good moisturizer and sunscreen daily. Exfoliate regularly and, if needed, visit a dermatologist for any specific skin concerns. Importantly, don’t try new facials or skincare treatments close to the wedding day to avoid any unwanted reactions. Stick to what your skin is used to!
