Creating Bespoke Menus for Memorable Celebrations

From his years of experience with 5-star hotels, Manouj Kaushikk founded Nineteenth May to bring the luxury of high-end wedding catering to more people. Inspired by the magic of weddings, he aims to create unique, stress-free experiences with customized menus that reflect each couple’s cultural tastes, all at a more affordable price.

Q. What inspired you to start a wedding catering company?

Weddings are a one-time affair, and with my experience working in several 5-star hotel properties and managing high-profile weddings, I realized that not everyone can afford those high-end services. My goal with Nineteenth May is to bring that same level of expertise and attention to detail at a more affordable price, making it accessible to a wider audience. The stress that weddings often put on families is immense, and I wanted to create a service that provides a stress-free experience, ensuring that every detail is taken care of, especially when it comes to food.

Q. How do you create unique menus for weddings?

We don’t believe in printed, one-size-fits-all menus. Each wedding is unique, and we take the time to discuss the guest list with the clients—understanding their ethnicity, origins, and food preferences. From there, we craft a custom-made menu that fits the tastes and budgets of the clients. This personalized approach ensures that every wedding is different and special, catering to the preferences of all guests.
