From designing IIFA’s bespoke invite to creating India’s first VR-based wedding invitation, Puneet offers a glimpse into his luxurious, artistic world of stationery design.
Q. What initially inspired you to blend Parisian chic with Indian craftsmanship in your stationery designs?
My design journey began in Paris and Milan, where I exhibited my work early on. The elegance and sophistication of Parisian chic deeply resonated with me. I soon realized how the detailed craftsmanship of India could beautifully complement this refinement. By blending the two, I create stationery that captivates visually and holds deep cultural significance.
Q. Can you tell us about your experience creating the bespoke invite for the 2024 IIFA Awards?
Designing the IIFA invitations for 2024 was a fantastic experience. This year, we introduced a unique black leatherette traveler’s suitcase, symbolizing IIFA’s global journey. Adorned with stamps from past award locations, it was packed with luxurious treasures inspired by Abu Dhabi, such as 24K agate crystal glasses and Islamic art-inspired trays. We wanted the invitation to celebrate IIFA’s journey, not just the ceremony.
