- What motivated you to pursue a career as a wedding planner?
Since my childhood, I’ve imagined myself as a wedding planner, long before the release of the popular film Band Baaja Baaraat. Many people wonder if the movie inspired me, and I can assure you, it did not. While it certainly brought attention to the wedding planning scene in India, it is not the source of my aspiration. Bollywood films, especially the romantic stories crafted by Yash Chopra, the grandeur of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s sets, and the captivating storytelling found in DDLJ, have significantly influenced my creativity. I genuinely believe my passion lies in the art of transforming various elements into something exquisite, creating unforgettable experiences in people’s lives. Isn’t that absolutely enchanting?
- How would you define your wedding planning approach?
I would describe my approach to wedding planning as focused on personalization and collaboration. I emphasize understanding the couple’s vision and their main priorities, and then guiding them through the intricacies needed to bring that vision to life. I strongly believe that the entire event has to be an extension of the couple and their families, only then it becomes an extension of their personalities. Also, It’s essential to strike a balance between creativity and organization, ensuring everything flows perfectly while reflecting their unique style. Moreover, I encourage open communication to make the planning process enjoyable and stress-free!
