Q. What inspired you to specialise in smile designing?
Although I have been practising general dentistry since 2016, I always felt a strong calling to advance my skills and embrace the latest techniques in aesthetic dentistry. Smile designing is the perfect blend of art and clinical science. Mastering the natural shape, structure and colour of teeth fascinated me and inspired me to specialise in smile makeovers and full-mouth rehabilitations.
Q. What factors do you consider before creating a patient’s smile makeover?
A smile makeover is far more than a cosmetic procedure. We carefully assess the patient’s bite, smile dynamics, tooth position and function to ensure aesthetics never compromise oral health. We also evaluate facial structure, muscle movement, age, gender and factors such as teeth grinding, trauma, stress, missing teeth and the causes of misalignment before planning treatment.
