Designing the Inner World

In a world where interiors are often reduced to aesthetics, Jamma Dmitrieva and Maria Tsvetaeva of J’MÜR Studio are redefining design as something far more intimate. Blending psychology with spatial design, their work goes beyond décor—creating deeply personal, healing environments that reflect the soul, emotions, and inner world of their clients.

Tell us about your journey and what inspired J’MÜR Studio.

My name is Jamma. I am a psychologist, psychosomatologist, and a creative professional who has also worked as a furniture designer. J’MÜR Studio was born out of a desire to create meaningful projects that go beyond surface-level beauty—spaces that can open people’s hearts and souls, and even contribute to healing through thoughtfully designed interiors.

Together with my partner Maria, we built a collaboration between interior design and psychology. This approach allows us to transform even small spaces into functional, emotionally supportive havens. For us, interior design is materialized psychology—it reflects the client’s inner world, values, and character. More than a profession, it is a mission to create evolving, healing environments that grow with the people who inhabit them.

How do you translate a client’s individuality into design?

Everything begins with communication. We invest time in understanding our clients—their lifestyle, emotional needs, aspirations, and even subtle personality traits. By paying attention to these details, we are able to create interiors that truly resonate with them.

This process allows us not only to design a space but also to support the client’s personal evolution. The interiors we create become an extension of their inner and outer worlds, helping them feel seen, understood, and comfortable within their own space.
