What inspired you to start Gayatri Bedi Designs?
I started Gayatri Bedi Designs with a clear intention — to create spaces that feel personal yet refined. Design has always meant more to me than aesthetics; it’s about emotion, proportion, and how a space makes you feel. I wanted the freedom to shape this philosophy through interiors, styling, and bespoke furniture that celebrate individuality rather than repetition. The brand began in Mumbai, which shaped my early sensibilities, and is now based in Chandigarh, from where we manage projects across India and internationally while maintaining a strong design identity.
How would you define your signature design style?
I would describe it as timeless with presence. I’m drawn to strong silhouettes, refined detailing, and rich materials layered thoughtfully. My goal is to create spaces that feel luxurious without being overwhelming. There’s always depth through texture, form, or subtle contrast, but it is balanced with elegance. Trends may inspire me, but they never dictate my work. I aim to design something enduring.
