Orchid Lace has a 50+ year legacy — how are you keeping it fresh for the next generation?
I joined Orchid Lace in 2002, so it’s been over 23 years now. Our philosophy has always been very clear — we don’t compromise on quality and never cut corners. We invest heavily in R&D to stay ahead of the curve, which not only keeps us relevant but also allows us to anticipate industry trends rather than just follow them. We’re constantly introducing new techniques and adopting the latest technology to ensure our production remains state-of-the-art. With a strong and agile team behind us, we’re able to adapt quickly to the ever-changing fashion landscape.
What makes Thai craftsmanship in lace so unique globally?
Thai artisans have an innate sense of neatness and precision — it’s almost in their DNA. This attention to detail is critical in lace-making. Coupled with their understanding of trends and customer needs, they consistently deliver work that stands out globally. Every stage of our production is meticulously checked, giving our products a distinct edge.
How has working in a family-owned business shaped your leadership style?
I’ve had incredible mentors — my father and brother — who’ve led by example. I’ve learned a lot simply by observing and following their lead. At the same time, being part of the newer generation, I naturally understand modern needs and expectations, which helps me bridge tradition with forward-thinking leadership.
