MS Landcorp – Honouring Legacy and Ensuring Quality

Rooted in family legacy, MS Landcorp is a brand that takes pride in creating innovative spaces like The Silicone Courtyard. Gurpreet S Brar in conversation with Urban Melange talks about the inspiring journey of the brand, its challenges and more.

Q. Tell us about the journey of MS Landcorp, and what has been your guiding vision?

MS Landcorp is more than just a company; it’s a tribute to my grandfather, Sardar Mukhtyar Singh, whose initials form the brand name. Although he passed away early, his ethics and principles have continued to guide our vision. My father entered the real estate industry around 1998, and I later joined him in expanding this family legacy.

Q. How do you ensure timely delivery and maintain quality across your projects?

At MS Landcorp, we understand that our clients trust us with both their money and their dreams, so it’s critical to deliver high-quality projects on time. Timely delivery and superior quality are the foundations of our reputation. Each project goes through rigorous checks to ensure it meets our quality standards. We know that real estate projects are a long-term commitment for the client, so we hold ourselves accountable to deliver on both quality and timelines.

Q. MS Landcorp has completed several residential projects. Which one are you most proud of and why?

While every project has been a learning experience, Highland Park stands out as one of the most significant achievements for MS Landcorp. It is the largest residential development in the Tricity area and holds a special place in our journey. One of its unique features is the introduction of professional landscaping, which was the first of its kind in the region.

Q. Tell us about your take on sustainability?

Sustainability is at the heart of every project we undertake. From the very first step—when we acquire land—we ensure that the natural resources and ecology are treated with respect. Trees are preserved, and resources like water and energy are used wisely throughout the development process. Our commitment to sustainability is evident not just in the construction phase but in how we manage projects post-completion. We prioritize energy-efficient systems and clean energy sources to reduce the environmental footprint.

Q. How has the real estate industry evolved over the past few years?

The real estate sector in Tricity has seen immense growth and evolution over the last decade. Earlier, both developers and customers were new to the industry, but now, expectations have risen, and customers are more informed. Developers have responded by adopting more professional practices and engaging experienced consultants to design, develop, and manage projects efficiently. The introduction of RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) has brought much-needed accountability, ensuring that developers adhere to timelines and quality standards.

Q. What challenges have you faced as a developer, and how did you overcome them?

One of the primary challenges we’ve faced is the scarcity of skilled professionals in the Tricity area. Finding the right team members and consultants has often been difficult, especially compared to metro cities. However, as Chandigarh grows, more people are relocating here, and this influx of talent is helping us build stronger teams, which in turn results in better projects.
