With over five decades of industry experience, he discusses the company’s dedication to quality, sustainable practices, and creating communities where families thrive. Tarninder Singh, owner of Manohar Singh & Company, shares his journey in real estate, inspired by his father’s legacy.
Q1: What inspired you to start Manohar Singh & Company?
My father was my inspiration. He started the parent company in 1954, and I joined him after completing my studies in 1982. Over our 50 years of experience, we’ve been pioneers in the industry, consistently delivering high-quality products. Real estate is a promising sector, and I truly enjoy being a part of it.
Q2: How would you describe your approach to real estate development?
With rising real estate prices, development has shifted to a more upmarket focus, with developers introducing innovative ideas. There’s increased attention to landscaping, with international consultants enhancing horticulture, while wider roads and low-density communities are being planned. We emphasize sustainable practices, using eco-friendly materials, technologies for efficient waste disposal, groundwater rehydration, and solar energy in parks and rooftops. Green building has become a priority for us.
Q3: What sets your projects apart from others in the Chandigarh region?
We have several ongoing projects. One of our flagship developments, The Palm Residency, is ready to move in and located in a prime Chandigarh area. It offers amenities like a badminton court, basketball court, gymnasium, and more. We’re also committed to rainwater harvesting and environmental responsibility. Other projects include Palm Spring and Palm Downtown in New Chandigarh, as well as Multitech Tower, Mannat Floors, and The Crown in Mohali.
