Doing Little Things with Great Love!

As NGO Tammana turns eleven, we speak to the Founder President, Isha Kakaria to know more about its trailblazing journey

 “Some fragrance always lingers in the hand that gives roses,” and the philanthropic trail of Isha Kakaria stands testament to the same. What started with the zeal to contribute towards making this world a better place to live in, eventually led twenty two years old Isha to give wings to her ‘Tammana’ and ever since then, there has been no turning back.

 What inspired you to lay the foundation stone of Tammana? Why did you choose this name?

The very first spark was when we were taken to an Old Age Home in the last days of our school where I found some unexpected unconditional love & wanted to come back again to see them. Soon, the visits turned regular & there began a beautiful bonding that only advanced with time. Wanting to do more for those in need, I perceived that a lot could be done if a bunch of like-minded enthusiasts come forward & join hands. To build a platform for such, was a very small but a true ‘Tammana’ inside that only grew with time and hence the name. The name was completely a first heartfelt thought!
