With utmost perseverance and dedication, Dr Surinder Kaur Gambhir converted her childhood dream of becoming a doctor into a reality. She pursued MBBS from Government Medical College, Patiala and joined the government sector where she served for five years before pursuing her post-graduation in MD (Gynae). After a few years, she shifted to the City Beautiful and worked in different hospitals and ultimately paved her way to success. Here’s more about her journey!
Take us through your journey of becoming a doctor and reaching the zenith of success?
At the time when I joined MBBS, though the expenditure on my studies was not high because of studying in a government institution; my father paid the college fee with much difficulty as we are three sisters and I was eldest. My father was a very honest and sincere person. His sacrifice and honesty shaped our future. After doing my MBBS, I got into a government job in Rajasthan. However, after 5 years, I thought of doing post-graduation. I studied hard and ultimately got successful in getting admission in MD (Gynae).
